Nickel Creek

Here is a band that came from San Diego. Nickel Creek is probably one of my favorite modern folk band. Chris Thile, (the guy playing the madolin) is probably one of the best instrumentalist out there and has some very cool solo work.

Clutch

This is a band that I discovered while watching The Walking Dead. At the end of listening to their album I was sold. I love their hard rock/blues/metal sound. It blends very well. Some people might find some simularities between them and Everlast. Personally I really enjoy a good bass/baritone vocal and that is the primary simularity in both bands. The first song "The Regulator" is the song featured on The Walking Dead. The second is one I just enjoy.

Seventh Day Slumber

This is a band that has been around the christian music scene for awhile and this is probably one of my favorite albums from this band. Most of the songs from "Take Everything" are just worship songs with one or two of their own originals. This video is one of my favorite versions of "Everlasting God" it is slower than original version by Brenton Brown but I still love it.

Dan Tyminski

Here is one of my most favorite Bluegrass artists at the moment. It's Dan Tyminski, he plays in Alison Krauss and the Union Station. (he is in the Union Station part) He also does some of his own work. You might recognize his voice from performing "Man of Constant Sorrow" in that one George Clooney movie. Right now I can't get enough of this song "Dust Bowl Children" from thier Paper Airplanes album that recently won a grammy. How bout them apples? the other video is one of my favorite instrumentals by Dan Tyminski.

Dead Feather Moon

This is a interesting band here in San Diego. I really like this song and the people who took the video are apparently a husband and wife team that do this for a living taking pictures and video of San Diego artists. Hopefully they will come to realize they havn't met me yet.
