Evans Blue some might know for their song Cold (But I'm Still Here). From that album I wasn't to impressed with the band or the album either. But from this new album "Graveyard of Empires" gives a more melodic version of their orgininal hard breakdown sounds.

Sent By Ravens
Sent by Ravens is a band that came out of Tooth and Nail Records. This music video from their latest work is pretty creepy and fun. For some reason they are all dressed as hippsters or something but either way if you like good hard rock they are pretty sweet.

Seasick Steve
This has got to be one of my all time favorite contemporary blues artists. He can produce some of the best music by himself with just a guitar than a lot of full bands can do in a lifetime and computor room. Seasick Steve plays a mean slide anything apparently, and after watching this video his drummer is second best part of the band. bass guy comes in a good third. These guys look old but there is a lot under those beards. Check out his complete album "You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks" really amazing stuff.

The Poxy Boggards
So I found a band the other day that sounded to me like a mix of Florence + the Machine and Mumford and Sons and I thought to myself "I should post that". But I'll post that some other time. Right now I want to be a little random and talk about The Poxy Boggards. Group of men who you want to come to your local pub every single day. These California fellows sing sea shanties and bar songs, all of which make you want to sing along. Oh and remember that super ball commercial where men started walking around in their underwear singing "I wear no pants" yeah these guys started that.

Demon Hunter
So this is fun. I first listened to Demon Hunter probably when I was 13 or 14 and was not interested in their music at all. Heavy distortion, screaming, double bass was not exactly what I was used to. I still have a select taste when it comes to Hardcore music but Demon Hunter with their new album has made me appriciate what they do. I really like the span of all the differences in the song from very hard and fast songs like Resistance to the heart felt Dead Flowers. Now probably alot of hardcore fans would listen to Demon Hunter and say "they arn't that hard to begin with no wonder you like them." And they would be right. Demon Hunter has some very melodic choruses and great melodies through out alot of their songs. I have a hard time getting into a song if it is gutteral noises constantly. Some people may love that and that's fine. The same people probably wear torn jeans with a studded belt along with their band shirt that they havn't changed in two weeks. But as far as Demon Hunter goes they have a good balance that I find appealing. They are also a full on christian band which is a cool side note.

Cavo
So this band is pretty good in my opinion. You might have heard of their song "Champagne" which brought the band to mainstream success. This is the single from their new album that came out today. I have not listened to the complete album as of yet but I look forward if they are of the same quality.
